Today we said a sad goodbye to our upstairs neighbour, Jan. We are very sorry to see her go. She is a nice lady who lived a very quiet life and always exchanged a few pleasant words. Her landlord gave her Notice, and we fear it may be because he intends to move back in. She certainly never made a nuisance in any way at all, so its hard to understand why she was given notice.
The landlord is an odd bod whose parking skills leave something to be desired and he practices his trumpet at night. He really needed the practice too, when he lived there. If he is going to come back, I hope his hours of practice have paid off. His playing was awful and could only have got better. Can't possibly have got worse.
This is a nice, peaceful block where everyone gets on well with each other. Lets hope it stays that way.
