Dogs and Fireworks

I hate firework season. It starts in October and goes on until January. My bedroom backs on to a park so the fireworks can be annoying. I wouldn't mind if people set them off on a designated evening and at a specific time. Series of loud bangs at 2am are too much, especially when it goes on for months on end!

Although they irritate me, the big problem is that they drive my dog up the wall. There is no way I can stop him barking, and I live in a flat. I have worried that his barking could annoy the other residents, so I put an apologetic letter upstairs. One of the other residents, Andy, saw me today and told me not to worry about the barking because people are annoyed by the fireworks, not by the dog. (Actually, they are all very nice to Brak when they see him). Andy told me that there is a natural food company that makes calming dog biscuits especially for Firework season. I looked them up on the Internet and have ordered a packet each for my dog and for Caelyn's dog.

The company is called Dawgs Biscuits and their URL is http://www.dogstreats.co.uk/index.html. Copy and paste it into your browser or just click HERE. I will let you know how they work after the dogs have tried them.
