Growing so Fast

This little girl is growing so fast. She is 6 and a half months old. Yesterday and today she pulled herself up to a standing position and held it for a few seconds each time. If you have been reading the Blog, you will know that she has been insisting on standing for months and screaming with fury if she isn't allowed to. The tears turn to giggles and gurgles when she is allowed upright. But she has showed no sign of trying to crawl yet. She gets put on the floor and encouraged but she just doesn't get it. I'm quite anxious for her to crawl so that her brain gets 'wired up right' for learning to read. It has been found that crawling is really important in the development of the ability to learn to read. And all our gorgeous girl wants to do is walk. Someone, please tell her that she is too young and that she needs to get crawling sorted out first!
