This Weekend

My mother’s cat, Jenny, who is an Oriental and has Feline Asthma, is ill.  Mum says she stayed on her radiator bed all day.  She hasn’t miaowed or eaten or done anything she usually does.  Her breathing is rapid, her eyes are running and her third eyelid is visible.  My mum will be taking her to the Vet in the morning, but we are worried about her.  She doesn’t sound well at all.  Poor Jenny!  My mum put some Olbas in an oil burner to help her breathe during the night.  I hope it helps.  Dear Lord, hold Jenny and Mum in the palms of Your Hands.

I am going to Yarmouth this weekend.  It is Old Gaffers week when people dress up in old fashioned clothes and the ships get “all dressed up” and there are mock naval battles etc.  It is always a lot of fun, but this year there is the Round the Island Yacht Race, and Sean’s sister has booked us in at the Yacht Club for breakfast so we will see the yachts go past on their race.  It sounds as if it will be a great weekend.  I haven’t been well though, so I will have to remember to pace my energy carefully as I have that wretched exam on Monday and could do with a functioning brain!
