Thames River Trip

Sean's sister "won" a boat trip up the Thames for four people at a Charity auction, and she invited Seam and I to join her and her friend Henrietta. We went by train to Wargrave on Friday and stayed at the St George and Dragon, a 15th Century coaching inn.

we went to the Marina at 11am, and were welcomed by Chris and Jenny. We had some tea, then set off. First stop was at the Shiplake Lock. After that, we moored near Sonning and had lunch aboard the boat. There was a lot of friendly chatter and the scenery was spectacular. I got loads of photos, but I will have to wait until I get home to process them.

I was exhausted and nauseous by the end of the day, but it was a wonderful day nevertheless.
