Sadness and Endings

Richard's dad's funeral was today. These things are always difficult to go through and Richard is feeling as he would be expected to.

Today is All Souls Day - if ever there was a 'good' day for a funeral, this would be it. May he rest in peace, and may God have mercy on his soul.

Matt and Sam had a stillborn baby who was buried this week too and naturally they are devastated. The hospital took hand and foot prints to give them. Sam wants to move because she can't bear to stay in that house any more. If only she understood that the sadness is in her, not in the house. May the Holy Spirit comfort them in their grief and may God's will be done in their lives. Christians believe that God the Father knows what it is to lose a child as his own Son was killed. The bible refers to Christ as "a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief" It also records that Jesus wept when His friend Lazarus died. I hope that Matt and Sam will allow Him to help them through this valley of tears. He has been there and done it.

May the Departed rest in peace and may their loved ones be Comforted in their grief.
