I was sitting at my computer doing my College work when I heard water dripping. I looked around and water was streaming through the ceiling. I shoved a bucket underneath it and went upstairs to wake the man in the flat above me. He had had a plumber in to fix his toilet, and that is where the flood came from.
He couldn't stop it so we tried to find his Mains water stopcock. After some trial and error, we found the right one. He filled up his kettle then turned his water supply off and said he would get the plumber back to fix it.
Luckily I was still up and awake. Can you imagine the damage if I had been away or asleep?
