Last Tuesday I was with Sean in Tonbridge, and was enjoying an unusually fierce storm by British standards. There was torrential rain and high winds with thunder and lightning.
When I got back to Folkestone, it was to discover my flat had been flooded. I have had a terrible time trying to dry the carpets out and getting rid of the musty smell. When the carpets were dry, I sprinkled Bicarb all over them and left it for a while before hoovering it up and it certainly has helped but there is still a bit of a smell which hopefully will disappear with further treatment.

Oh no, Sue. I thought about you when I heard on the news about the flooding, but my geography is so poor that I wasnt sure of the location. And I have been potting and kilning like a madwoman, so I havent visited blogs like I used to. Sorry to hear that. I hope it drys out without much ado. Your 'woozle'(?) is adorable. Her pixie haircut just makes me want to snuggle her with kisses. Well done, to all your family. I love to hear of children being cherished in todays world. God bless and say a 'Howdy' from Texas to all. Give the Furkids a scritch for me, too.
Love from TX,
Shaun
