I've had a respiratory tract virus for about a week. I also have chronic brucellosis/ME and it has been well documented that in that condition, that a person has trouble regulating their body temperature.
I have been very cold. I wear a warm winter nightie, but during this virus I have had my electric blanket on all the time, with two 15tog duvets, a bedspread, a blanket and a quilt and I felt so cold that I took my temperature several times. It registered at about 35 degrees, and a normal temperature is about 37 degrees. So even with all those layers, my body was bordering on hypothermic. And the weather hasn't been cold either. The thermometer is a digital one that takes a temperature inside the ear canal. It is new and I have no reason to suppose that it is inaccurate. Besides, when my kids have felt my skin, they say that it is icy.
Odd. Very odd.
