Terry

Terry came over today for me to deep condition her hair. She goes to the gym every day and swims several times a week and the condition of her hair was not too good to say the least. We washed her hair with a Sun, Gym and Swin shampoo from Boots then applied a Coconut Oil treatment. While we were waiting for it to work, we bathed the dog.

Terry's hair came out very well. It was shining for the first time in months. We will do this Deep Conditioning every week until the overall condition has improved. Her Mum, Auntie Ellen, always complains about the state of Terry's hair so I gave her a photo to take home to show her mum next time she sees her.

Terry got Legionaires Disease from the showers at the sports centre a couple of years ago and she has never quite shaken it off. She should have been hospitallised but she has been so cruelly treated in hospital before when she was in for mental health problems that she refuses to go near the place. Who can blame her? She is "mad" not stupid! As for being "mad" ( a term I heartily dislike) its funny how small children and animals trust her immediately and make a beeline for her. She is the doting Aunt of a little boy who adores her, and Wendy loves Terry too. As do my cats and dog. She is very gifted in that way and she is also very creative with various art forms. Every year, she does something major for Charity. She has done the equivalent of swimming the Channel to raise funds for Cancer Research and another swim-a-thon for Multiple Sclerosis.

So often we see headlines along the lines of "Schizophrenic stabs Social Worker" yet we never read "Schizophrenic saves child from Drowning" or "Schizophrenic raises thousands of pounds for Cancer Research".

Well, go for it, Terry. Your life has enriched the lives of many people, even though it is different to theirs. I know life is hard for you, but you are a brave lady, so hang in there!
