Wendy is 9 months old and hold on to furniture to cruise around on her little legs. She saw her GP today, who had not seen her since her 8 week routine check up. He asked Caelyn if she was sure Wendy is 9 months and she told him she was there and IS sure. Even so, he checked on his computer to make sure for himself because according to her milestones she should be a year or more. We have always said she is advanced for her age, and it is in no small measure due to the time her parents spend playing with her, singing to her and talking to her. The whole family makes a fuss of her and because we haven't got money to buy her stuff, we play games and read to her sand just delight in her company.
Caelyn and Nigel are such good parents it is strange to think Caelyn is only 20 and this is their first baby. The GP also remarked on the fact that Wendy has never had an antibiotic because some babies 'live' on them. But Wendy is breastfed so her mum passes antibodies from her mature immune system whenever Wendy gets a bug so the normal day-to-day colds etc are fought off by her mum. No need for antibiotics, thank God.
