We have friends and family overseas, and there are certain problems in post being delivered in parts of Africa, so we usually send postcards as it is plainly obvious that there is nothing that might be thought of as valuable hidden in an envelope. The message can be viewed by anyone so there is no reason to hide a letter or steam one open in a fit of insecurity. Here is the postcard we made for Wendy's grandfather and her Auntie Barbara. When I have made more for other people I will post them. I find it an absorbing hobby.
I hope I will be able to continue with this as a hobby because although my computer is back from the repairman, it isn't behaving very well and I fear it may be nearing the end of its life. It won't play sounds any more, it is slow/freezez/crashes and closes programs that usea lot of RAM such a Word or a photo editing program. It does a pulsating flicker during downloads and in heavy RAM processes. Just crossing fingers that it will last a bit longer.
