Heatwave Expected

Heatwave Expected
A Heat Wave is expected this week, with temperatures set to reach up to 37 degrees, which is HOT.  Michelle will be travelling in a coach in that heat.  I expect Caelyn and Nigel to bring Wendy to my flat which is always cool as it is a basement flat.   I will have to reissue naggings about staying in the shade between 10.30 and 3pm and to drastically increase fluid intake.   I am certain that some fools will try and sunbathe or go hill walking in it.  I must remind Sean to have a bit of salt.  There has been such an anti-salt campaign that he has stopped using salt, but as St Benedict said, MODERATION in all things.  Too much salt is undeniably bad and so is no salt at all.  People lose salts when they sweat and will get nasty cramps if they don’t replace the salt and most important of all is to drink copiously

.

This and That
Went to College this morning and found that I had failed my PowerPoint exam by a whisker, and so I rewrote it today.  I don’t know what was the matter with me, but I don’t think I did well on it, and I should have.  I love the programme, and out Tutor had been over our mistakes with us just before then.  We will have to see, but I think another rewrite is on the cards.

I hadn’t been feeling well; my joints were sore this morning, and this evening my glands are up, which is probably because I overdid it yesterday.  I ought to have been more careful, as I know very well that when I overdo it, it catches me out the next day and I knew I would probably have to rewrite.  It is my own fault for being foolish and careless.  I feel I have let myself down, and also feel embarrassed at two failures in a programme I love when I have done so well in all the other modules.

Michelle says that Ian will meet her on Thursday.  I bet she is looking forward to seeing him.  She says she will be with us until Monday.  I will have to remind her to take lots of water on the coach.

I bathed Brakkie today and he looks lovely and fluffy and a honey and cream colour.  Quite lovely, in fact.  The cats have hardly come in; they have stayed out a lot. So have Caelyn’s cats.

I heard from my mum today.  She managed to get two Dinky Feeders – a Godsend unavailable in England – but she has a cold, which I don’t imagine she is enjoying

.

Melanie’s kids went back to school yesterday and she welcomed the opportunity to get a little rest.  No matter how much you love your kids, when you have Chronic Fatigue and are middle aged, a few hours  of peaceful rest are like an oasis in the desert.

Caelyn has decided that the time is right for her to learn to drive, and she is interested in a Citroen C1.  Best of luck to her!  She cooked supper for us tonight and it was very nice.  I was grateful because I wasn’t up to cooking.  It was kind of her.
