Michelle

Michelle has been to Great Yarmouth to see about a temporary part-time job, which will provide accommodation while paying her and allowing her to study.
She is on her way back now.  I don’t yet know what she will decide about it.

She needs and wants to study. The work is not strenuous or difficult.  There are good colleges nearby.
However, she hesitates to go so far from her family and friends and her boyfriend of 5 years.  She hasn’t been well, and has felt stressed recently.
On the other hand, she and Ian have been working out how they could see each other regularly.  He has always encouraged her in her ventures, and wants her to succeed, not for him, but for her own feelings of personal worth.

It is clear that a period of change is coming up for her.  Maintaining the status quo is hardly a viable or intelligent option.   I think she needs to “stretch” herself, because I suspect that even she will be surprised by her potential and the possibilities they open up for her.

So there are pros and cons to working in Great Yarmouth.  I don’t know what decision will be the right one, but I hope that she will choose the right course of action for everyone concerned, but most of all for herself.
