7 September 2005

Caelyn had her 14 week Scan today.
Michelle came too and got very excited to see the images, which were surprisingly clear. The face was clearly visible, and we saw the ribs and backbone too. The stomach had fluid in it (so the digestive tract is developing as it should) and the bladder had fluid in it too, so that is good news.
They gave us photos, and on one, the face was very clear.

I haven't driven a car sice 1997, so Nigel took me out for a Refresher lesson today. I had a bit of trouble becuse of the 'bite point' between the clutch and the accelerator. The steering wheel had much more play than I am used to, so it felt like learning all over again. We drove to Hythe and back, and on the way back I was getting the hang of it again. I think I could benefit from proper Refresher lessons from a proper Driving School.

Nigel has to have a colonoscopy at the William Harvey Hospital tomorrow. It was booked as an "urgent" appointment, but even so, he has been waiting since March!! He will be given a twilight sleep and will not be allowed to drive for 24 hours.
