Through the Letterbox

When I got back from Sean's today, someone was looking through the letterbox, keeping an eye out for her granny.

With visitors and one thing and another, Sean and I haven't seen each other lately so I went up there on Thursday because he was taking Friday off work so we could be together. This morning we stood on opposite sides of the platform waving sadly as our trains headed in different directions. He was off to Portsmouth to catch a ferry to France. I had been invited too but am in between passports.

Now, that's an interesting thing. I had a letter from a private mail delivery company to say I had an item of mail from HM Passport and Identity Services that required identification and a signature. It is my new passport. The interesting question is why the Government doesn't see fit to use their own Post Offices.
