Nice day yesterday

Yesterday was the first day this year that I felt that summer was here. Sean phoned at lunchtime to sat how happy he was and wasn't it a wonderful day? He was having problems with a very difficult client and was very pleased that it was all sorted out, and with less hassle than he had anticipated.

Kate and Nigel popped round and they had a few bills to pay so we went to town. After a while we were thirsty and Wendy was hungry so we had a lunch break in the Yellow Cafe.

We were just starting to make a lazy way home when Kate spotted an old school friend, Rachel. They were very pleased to see each other and Rachel came back for coffee with her 10 week old baby Nicole. She and Kate have made plans to meet up this week when Nigel goes fishing.

I stopped in at the dentist on the way home. I had an abscess a few weeks ago which he treated with antibiotics. Now I have a very hard painless lump on the side of the gum at the place where the abscess was, about the size of a marrowfat pea. I suspect that it is a calcium callus from the body's attempt at healing itself. However, I do not like the idea of a painless lump and I think it ought to be x-rayed but the first available appointment is 18 September. I'll think about it for a few days and I may decide to see my GP and ask her to send me for an x-ray at the Royal Vic.
