Wrecked!

On Thursday night before the social worker was due to interview Kate and Nigel, I had complete insomnia and leading up to the day I was sleeping badly because of fear and anguish. We have all been in a state of nervous tension and now it is all over and everything is OK, I'm absolutely shattered. I feel quite unwell and need to crawl into bed and stay there for a while. Kate feels the same and so does Michelle. It has been the most awful time a family could go through. Just think of so many people seriously upset to the point that it interfered with their normal lives and functions, then think of the ridiculousness of the allegation - that Kate's house is a mess and Wendy just gets breastmilk to survive on - its all disproportionate. No house is perfect within minutes of moving in and don't forget the builders had been there to replace the fallen ceilings and there was a lot of plaster and builders mess all over the place. The house had stood empty for a long while too.
We were going out for a celebratory tea and cake. Wendy was only on my lap for the photo. There is no way I would think of having her on the scooter while the ignition was on at the size she is now. But its a nice photo with good memories - mostly of relief and a sense of disaster averted.

After the worry and anxiety of the past few weeks, all the adults in the family were exhausted, but not Woozle. She was up and ready for fun and games, and Auntie Michelle is always good for that!
