New Camera

Mel has asked me to take photos of her wedding so I've upgraded my camera which I had been wanting to do for a while. I've been experimenting with it because I want to get to know it and what it can do before I have to take important photos. The first thing I want to say is that the software CD Rom is terrible and I've decided not to use it because it is full of bugs and hassles and gets on my nerves.
The camera itself is great though.

I usually edit photos before posting them on the Blog but this one has not been edited except to reduce the file size to 480 megapixels. This is an interesting photo because I used a setting called "available light" and it takes a photo indoors without a flash, just using what light is available. This is Jenny, my Mum's Oriental cat and the only light source in the room was my mother's bedside light. The other camera's indoor photos were taken at low pixels and looked ok on the computer but didn't print well. I'm glad I got this particular camera and am enjoying learning its functions.

This one was taken in my Mum's bedroom with the "available light" setting and I added the frame and text while it was still on the camera and it downloaded 'as is'. Again, this is interesting to me. I think its a great camera with a lot of scope but it is a pity about the software.
