Woozle went for her immunisations today. I hope Kate made an appointment with the Dr for her as there is a particular health problem that has got us all a bit concerned. Its not easy taking a baby to a Dr when there is nothing to see. In England, you have to be rather brave to do that in case you get accused of Munchausens-by-Proxy which basically means that a parent pretends their child is ill to get attention for themselves. There are social workers attached to surgeries these days and if a suggestion is made that Munchausens-by-Proxy could be at work, there is a real possibility of the child being taken "into Care" and subsequently adopted by someone else against the will of the parents. In fact, no one has proved that M-b-Proxy even exists. On the other hand, if a parent doesn't seek medical attention if they suspect a child is ill, they could lose their child for that too. How do you judge these things? Its OK going to a Dr if there is something obvious like chickenpox or bronchitis. But if you know something is wrong but you can't see it and the Dr probably won't see it immediately either, it is a gamble.
She is adorable though, isn't she? A little IMP!
