Melanie my sister in New Zealand, is planning to come to England to get married. Her fiance who also lives in NZ is English and they want to get married here because Peter's mother lives here and she would like to see her son getting married.
It has been a nightmare trying to organise everything from NZ and there are zillions of British bureaucratic regulations that have to be complied with. Mel says it has rather taken the romance out of the occasion. Still, I am sure they will make the best of it. Here is a snippet from her latest email:
We leave on the 7th May arrive early morning the 8th our wedding date is now the 2nd June at 11.30am and we leave England for NZ on the 16th June
Lets wish them both well and hope that the arrangements and hassles will all work out well. It would be great if they could really enjoy their wedding instead of being swamped with stress.
