Day of Visits

Day of Visits

When I got back from Tonbridge today, Michelle was talking to John Gale in the sitting room.  He is surely 80 now – or at least past 79.  He has had both his cataracts removed, and he is quarrelling with Specsavers about the cost of his new spectacle lenses.  He is just as grumpy as he always was, and he bought a lovely gift for Caelyn’s baby.  It was good to see him.

Then Josie popped round on her way back from town.  She asked me to make her a weekly planner because she says she loses track of what she is supposed to be doing and when she is supposed to be doing it.

Michelle found some old South African friends on the Internet, Heinz and Elena, and they have been emailing all day.  She downloaded Skype, but we haven’t got it working yet.  Will try again tomorrow.

Then Caelyn and Nigel came round after visiting Nanna.  She was in a foul mood, and says she is very tearful and tired of being pregnant.  I reassured her that feeling emotional and fed up is a normal part of late pregnancy.  She is coming round tomorrow for our Girls Night In, and is looking forward to her Active Birth Class at Buckland on Saturday.

Michelle was soooooo “hyper” with excitement about chatting to Heinz and Elena and from sleep deprivation ( she is trying to reset her body clock) that she has completely exhausted me, and I feel ready to sleep myself.
