Nigel and Caelyn came round last night to do some DIY for Josie.  Nigel put up shelves, drilled holes to put cables through and put up a shower rail.  That was really quite difficult as the walls in Josie’s house are not square.  The curtain rail was too long so he had to cut it, and after that he was drilling into reinforced concrete so it took a lot of time and effort.  I fed them after it was done.  They were both very tired.  

Mandy Jane and her friend were supposed to pick up our old lounge suite yesterday evening. I hope they did.  I’m going home later today, en route to Tonbridge, so I will see if it has been done.

And oh dear me!  The phone bill has arrived, and I am so behind in my accounts already.  I’ve been playing ‘catch up’ for so long, I just don’t know what to do.  As soon as the phone bill is paid, gas and electricity follow within a week or two, and both water bills are behind as well.  I suppose I could put off my new specs for a bit, but if I do, frankly I don’t know when I will be able to get them, and I really need them, especially as I am studying now.

Why can’t life be simple?
