We have an old green lounge suite.  The sofa and one of the chairs are fine, but the second chair sags slightly in the seat.  Ian’s mum Elaine gave us a nice blue lounge suite, so we contacted a charity for the homeless, St Martin’s Emmaus, and asked if they would like the old suite.

They came and looked at it, and said it was too knackered and dilapidated for them.  Oh!  The shame!  Being rejected by a charity for the destitute! How embarrassing.  

The Council want £20 per item to remove it, and we have to take things to the pavement, and I just don’t have the strength.  So we advertised it on a Free-to-good-home basis, because we couldn’t afford to get rid of it.  And oh joy! Mandy is coming to pick it up at 6pm tomorrow, so our lounge will be decluttered at last.
