Every year, fireworks in careless and inconsiderate hands, cause injury and distress to people and animals, and cause damage to property.

I’m posting a link to a petition that asks for the law to be tightened up so that more control is exercised over Fireworks.  The suggestion is that they be used on specific dates and times and set off by responsible adult people.  It is also worth remembering that Fireworks are manufactured by Chinese schoolchildren, who are given no safety equipment such as masks to prevent them inhaling gunpowder dust.  A few years ago there was an explosion in one of the schools that were making Fireworks, and many of the children were killed while others were badly burned.
